Are you familiar with the Inductive Bible Study Method (IBSM)? I first learned this study style through Precepts Ministries in 2007, and I’ve used it ever since! I have learned so much, and the best part is that I have retained it!
These days, in my personal study, I don’t use the formal inductive method, as I now lean towards what I call a ‘relaxed style of induction’. I still ask the questions: who, what, where, when, and how, to help me understand what I’m reading, but I don’t always mark my Bible as I used to.
The best study method, whether it is the Inductive Method, the SOAP style, verse mapping, or any other, is the method that you are using when you open your Bible. The important thing is to study God’s Word regularly.
